The Healers and Magicians of the Black Hills

Thrive Acupuncture and Wellness is taking a new approach with our ongoing blog! We want to celebrate the holistic health community around the Black Hills. We know how important it is to connect with one another, to share resources to serve the Rapid City population. Our patients often find treatment through multiple modalities and we want to embrace those connections.

Acupuncture and TCM are whole-body approaches to health. Our training, culled from centuries of eastern practices, conditions us to view the body as more than just a collection of organs and functions. We know to look deeper, below the surface, to […]

Hot Flashes and Cool Herbs

Wow, you’re really hot! I mean – super hot, right? We don’t mean that you’re attractive (although you certainly are) but rather that we’ve noticed that you seem a bit warmer these days. Particularly at night?

Women used to dread approaching Menopause. Today, women who are menopausal or post-menopausal are ruling the world. They’re in the peak of their intellectual power and finding the joy in this new chapter of their lives. Take inspiration from that – the middle of your life can be just the beginning!

But going through the process can be frustrating. It can bring discomfort, including those dreaded […]
